Naked Innovations’ Three Pillars - A Complete Guide

Naked Innovations’ Three Pillars - A Complete Guide

One of our most asked questions is ‘What does Naked Innovations do?’. It’s a simple enough question, yet it’s not always been the easiest to answer. That’s because since launching in 2017, Naked Innovations has worked on a wide range of projects with diverse clients that span the complex food system. For a while we were too busy focusing on co-creating with clients to worry too much about defining our service offering. However we soon recognised the need for more clarity, which led us to create what we now know as Naked Innovations’ three pillars.

What are the Three Pillars?

After taking some time to reflect on the major challenges in the market, our expertise and areas of passion, we set about defining how we wanted to drive impact and transform the food system. We realised that all of our most impactful work could be categorised into three focus areas; Talent Incubation, Venture Enabling and Ecosystem Curation. From this revelation, Naked Innovations’ three pillars were born but their true magic wasn’t fully unleashed until we were able to showcase how the interconnected nature and symbiotic relationship between the pillars could be used to scale impact.

How the Three Pillars Connect

Far from being three independent focus areas, our pillars are actually better visualised as a series of circular rings with ‘talent’ at the centre (representing our people focused approach to innovation), followed by ‘ventures’ then ‘ecosystem’, which encompasses and binds the three pillars together.

How the Pillars Help Scale Impact

When viewed from a different angle, the three pillars take on the form of a spiral, with each pillar building on the previous to scale impact and drive systemic transformation.

Finding, matching and incubating the best talent lays the foundation for achieving positive impact >> By enabling ventures we can bring talented teams together around challenges and help them successfully launch and scale their innovations >> By curating dynamic ecosystems, we can better connect key stakeholders and break silos to accelerate systemic change to our biggest challenges.

With our three pillars defined, we’ve been able to develop a comprehensive service offering for each focus area and establish strategic partnerships that help us better identify opportunities and projects where our expertise can bring about the most impact. Although the work of Naked Innovations is still diverse, we’re now better equipped to connect with key stakeholders and drive transformational change in the food system.
