Living Labs
Our Living Labs employ a place-based, challenge-driven approach to innovation, rooted in real territories and tangible challenges. By partnering with local value- chain actors, they foster experimentation, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of infrastructure and scalable solutions.
CONCAT (Collaborative mONitoring and Climate AdapTation)
CONCAT (Collaborative mONitoring and Climate AdapTation) is a Catalonia‑based Living Lab strengthening climate resilience across the agrifood system.
Working across key value chains such as olives, apples, cereals, poultry, and aquaculture, CONCAT combines data, lived practice, and co‑creation to test climate scenarios, identify vulnerabilities, and develop practical adaptation pathways that support food security and long‑term sector resilience.

CarobLab: empowering and commercialising the carob crop
CarobLab is a territorial Living Lab using the carob tree as a catalyst for climate‑resilient agriculture and rural regeneration in Southern Catalonia.
It connects farmers, cooperatives, industry, researchers, and public actors to co‑create and test new practices, products, and business models rooted in local realities. Beyond the crop itself, CarobLab helps align a shared agenda for diversification, circular bioeconomy development, and long‑term territorial resilience.
AgroDeltaLab: a sandbox in Viladecans
AgroDeltaLab is a Living Lab focused on regenerating the Delta del Llobregat as a strategic agricultural and ecological landscape for the Barcelona metropolitan region.
Bringing together farmers, research centres, companies, public administrations, and citizens, it pilots solutions for climate‑adaptive, high‑value, and regenerative agriculture in real conditions. The Lab strengthens food sovereignty, short supply chains, and new business models while protecting the Delta’s social and ecological integrity.
